Hi folks, Just gotta mention that I have just put out a 45rpm single Stuck in Society backed with The World is Square. to hear the edited versions check my page out www.myspace.com/thepaulmessissoundthe single is recorded onto 8 track analogue tape and I have tried to make both sides sound like they came from the state of Minnesota, if you are a fan of the mid-west garage sound you should like this. someone mentioned to me that the a side sounds like a lost gestures song. if your interested in purchasing the single, you can get it from here put my name into the search engine at www.roughtrade.comor you can purchase it from ebay and again just put my name in the search engine. cheers if you dig it Paul Messis

I've just listened to the clips of this 45 on your myspace page and I am impressed by the authentic sound you've achieved for 2009. With input from The Higher State you were always onto a winner.

Thanks Terrible Mouse. the vinyl sounds even more authentic yeah Marty and Mole from The Higher State helped me with Drums and Backing Vocals, it was a fun session... it was the first time I ever really recorded on Analogue equiptment. when we were mixing it we we're all saying to each other...turn the bass up it needs to sounds like the bass part in Baba Yaga or we were like make the drums have rerverb on so it sounds like the gestures. I really had fun doing it, I just wish I had a band due to not having a band to promote the single live, plus being from a small town where none of my friends like music it's gonna be tough trying to sell the vinyl..... I doubt we will sell 50 of the 500 copies...so one day it may end up on some garage punk revival compilation and trade hands for like $500 a piece?? cheers Paul

Don't worry, I'll be buying a couple of copies from Mole via his ebay store.
It's a cool 45 and I'm not just saying that....
