I wonder if synth punk should get its own forum here. I remember seeing Clinic in the 90's at SXSW, which I only got tickets for because a friend with a record label pulled some strings and got my band a SXSW gig. The Synth Punk goes all the way back to the 60's with Silver Apples, with its own handmade synthesiser. Digital Leather does good synth Punk, but nearly the best I've seen is Clinic. Devo was certainly the most outwardly punk of the Synth Punk bands. Their proteges the Zom Zoms (each member wore a DEVO tattoo!) were really great, maybe even better than Clinic, but they threw this noisy brew right into your face and it rocked! Is a synth punk subgroup out of line in a garage punk forum?
