here are a few bands i like www.myspace.com/thehigherstategaragepsych ... these lot are mind blowing they sound like they came right outta LA or Texas circa 1966. i also like these guys but don't know if they are new www.myspace.com/theshruggs they too sound like they came from 1966 .... in 2007 i met the organist in a record shop in San francisco when i was out there traveling around and he made me a badge with the teenage shutdown symbol... I was really happy to see this band play live ok now some shameless plugging www.myspace.com/thepaulmessissound i've tried to go down the moody garage route .....i even did a cover off the possums king of his world which too me is one of the saddest songs ever recorded as for UK based garage bands the ones i like the most so far is Speak and The Spells ..... hopefully i will manage to form a band this year and start doing gigs so that I can play some garage who knows. cheers Paul

Oh yeah, I randomly saw those guys last month. I was going to a show to see the Hospital Rats and Black Clouds and these guys were playing there too. They are fucking great.

Hey, can some dude put together a 30-track comp of all these so-called decent new bands? The best stuff, obviously. I'll pay $ for it. here's a 19 tracker i've been listening to a lot: circle - "odottamaton" lydia lunch and halo of flies - "when i'm loaded" catatonic youth - "i've had it" catatonic youth - "out of control catatonic youth - "freedom vanilla" frustrations - "nerves are fried" coconut coolouts - "we drink blood" kim phuc - "wormwood star" bosom divine - "i'm your animal" bosom divine - "hangover (german beat)" his electro blue voice - "fury eyes" his electro blue voice - "duuug" black bug - "i don't like you" lover - "booger in my asshole" subtle turnhips- "fuck the people fuck the power fuck the people to the power" perfect fits - "all cried out" love tan - "this land is no good" love tan - "brush your teeth" anteenagers m.c. - "(illusions of the) teens" obviously won't be everything for everybody (unless you're me), but there should be something for everybody (unless you're a dipshit).
