Some say the legislation of God supersedes the legislation of the land. However, law enforcement officials in Florida would think otherwise when it happens on their turf. A woman, imprisoned for careless driving after apparently going 100 mph in a 30 mph residential area, said she was doing this only because God told her to. Extreme speeding
The female started driving at one in the morning on Nov 20 zooming through the U.S. 1. She had her arm out of the window and the horn on. When the police tried to pull her over, she just led him on a high speed chase. Do not worry; the chase did not last long.
Melissa Miller, 41, continued to wave her arms and gesture extensively. The chase finally ended when she cut across two lanes, almost colliding with two vehicles as she did so. According to TCPalm.com, the Toyota nearly wound up striking the curb, also.
She was in a residential area marked 30 mph but was seen going 100 mph, according to the police.
Help driving from God
Miller said that she sped up and pushed the horn like she did because that was what God wanted her to do. She told the officials that she was letting the Lord guide her, though she knew she was driving 70 miles over the speed limit.
Her Toyota was taken away.

Not held on too much
Miller was given a bail of $375 and was kept in the St. Lucie city jail. She was charged with careless driving.
And just a little more
The incident is all the more foolish in the light of Ms. Miller's recent past. Besides the careless driving charge, she was also charged with violating her probation. Reportedly, she was still under legal scrutiny for an earlier incident in which she apparently left the scene of an accident that involved injuries.
Rather than trying to prove that God wanted her to do it, Miller’s attorney will need to think up another strategy for court.
