Glad to see there's action here these days. I'm still a few thousand miles from my turn player but just got out of a cool Roky Erickson show for kids (free show), also saw him last night and it was expensive but worth it despite the dreadful opening act.

Nice! I have heard some dissatisfied voices regarding his latest album. Do the songs grow on stage?
And what am I listening to? Not much. These are the latest songs that was played here at Casa De Parade.
1. The lovely and very Real Kids and their summer-ish Every Day Is A Saturday. Perfect pop that makes you reach for the switch-blade.
2. When they suck, they suck hard but when they're good, they are gooood - The Zombies' This Will Be Our Year feels as close to the innocent pop of the early 60s as much as it sounds like a fresh precursor to the escapistic folk-glam of Hunky Dory or proto-power-pop albums like Emitt Rhodes cute debut. Sugar-sweet and dry as toast.
3. The Poppees? Who the fuck were they? I don't know but still they are having their way with my ears in the ultra-beatle-ish Jealousy and I just have to smile. Hand me the white flag - I surrender. Out on Bomp now. (I'm listening to it on my boring Spotify)
4. Ugh! Aah! The always very charming super-thug Stiv Bators power-pop his life away in the mega-sharp Circumstantial Evidence. Excellent guitars!
5. So...Paul Stanley? I love the concept with the 4 Kiss solo albums but they suck even more than Kiss do. Except some stuff offa Paul's And Ace's platters. Wouldn't You Like To Know Me is glorious enormo-stadium-power-pop de luxe, kinda like Cheap Trick. I like this music.
6. Tonight. Ah....The Fucking Raspberries... Gritty but smooth, dirty but romantic, and sooo inspired. Don't tell me you can fake that kind of passioned inspiration. Side 3 and Starting Over is played frequently here. Yesterday, today and...tonight...

Thanks Plague! Yes, I am an excellent describer. I have for a long time now wondered why I haven't been headhunted for Ugly Things, or atleast Mojo. I mean, I got grrrreat taste in music, I've got a clue and - as I said earlier - am an excellent describer of music. I guess they're scared...
Dry Rib? Have to check that one out!
