just managed to get these three comps documenting the Brighton punk scene.pretty decent. they are all available for download on the site aswell as a fourth one made up from newly compiled material.the third one is excellent(depending on your tastes) tons more stuff on this great website here: www.punkbrighton.co.uk/index.html

PUNK BANDS you doof! saying that, some are pop-punk or powerpop like Nicky And The Dots who i`m not that keen on.the third in the series is the most diverse.

i've got a nicky & the dots single,its quite good,but yes pop-punk as you put it.. i found a single by louder animal group in a charity shop from 1980 called 6 magnificent cathedrals who give their label address as ears pop products, bonchurch road,brighton. its pretty good, like a more DIY PiL. having lived in brighton, i must say i found the chest-beating nature of some of the music fans quite bizarre.... my collection doesn't feature many brighton bands,strange for a town with so many young people with a zany dress sense. even watford produced wire and wham
