In the mid-2000s, P.J. Hearn got a job with a government agency. A short while later, he became aware of questionable behavior within his own department, so he alerted his supervisors. Well it turns out, they didn't take kindly to having a whistleblower among them, so they subjected him to retaliatory attacks and smear campaigns meant to get him to leave. Eventually, it worked. But that wasn't the end of Mr. Hearn. A hobbyist guitar player for several years, he decided to create a band to allow him to channel his rage, and Leadsucker was born. Though they quickly gained notoriety for their paranoid ways (they blur their faces out of all promotional photos, and use pseudonyms to hide their true identities, in attempts to prevent Hearn's former co-workers from identifying him), it didn't take long for people to stand up and take notice of their music. Their debut album, "Burn", doesn't hit shelves until August 28th, they have released two singles from the album, "America Doesn't Give a Fuck About You" and "Haute Culture", which can be heard on their Reverbnation page ( www.reverbnation.com/leadsucker). But this is just a small sampling of the epic 30-track disc that tackles American politics and ideals with an unrelenting brutality. If you get a chance to check them out, please leave some feedback below! We'd love to hear what you think!
