Has anyone listened to this cd of previously unreleased recordings? I did last night. I haven't had an album make me feel that way for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. The last time was an album by Jimi Hendrix when he was alive. I really like this cd.

It's called Valleys of Neptune
I have it and I think there are some great performances on there. Some I already knew from bootlegs, most I didn't know at all.
I think we are coming very close to seeing the bottom of the barrel though! There are no more great unreleased Hendrix compositions so all you're gonna get from now on is different versions of the same songs.

Yeah, there are several songs on it that are different versions of the take that was released, but they are still new to me just because they are different. You're probably right though that we are getting close to not finding any more pure originals. Unless you run across a bands self-recorded practice tapes of original songs that were never actually professionally recorded or released. We had tapes like that, but we can't find them now.
