Can someone on here give me a fairly accurate value of one copy each of our two 45's? They are in mint condition and have never been out of their original sleeves. I don't do eBay but am interested in what each record could bring. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks.
Tom

Oh WOW. I had no idea. Do you think that somebody would really pay that price? Thanks Brad.

Oh WOW. I had no idea. Do you think that somebody would really pay that price? Thanks Brad. Hi Tom I'm sorry, but that value on Gemm is grossly out of proportions. I'd think you'd probably be able to get around $200 for Little Boy Blue and perhaps $100ish for the other one. All the heavy hitters have copies but you never know, put one up on eBay with a reserve price of $200 on it and see how "the market" responds. Silly prices are being paid for relatively common and less common titles at the moment. Regards Thomas H aka Mr.Segment on the "other" forum

Mr. "other" forum,
Thanks for the info. The prices you state are still high but more reasonable than the $480.00 price tag. Someone else told me that LBB goes for around $150.00 and the other for around $50.00. Man, the prices sure do have a wide range. I do have a couple but I'm really not looking to sell them.
I'm surprised that there isn't some kind of pricing oversight or governing board or something. Do you know if TBM is going to have pricing included? If so, it seems the price spread could be such that the book would be outdated or of no value for buyer's before it ever sees print. Has anyone ever tried to standardize pricing? I bet that would be a tough job if not impossible.

I've had a look on popsike (a website that lists selling prices during the past few years on ebay)
'Little Boy Blue' has been auctioned for between $150 - $350.

Mr. "other" forum, Do you know if TBM is going to have pricing included? Nope, TBM will have no prices included. Barry W. has just published a price guide for garage 45s, I'm sure your records are in there (I don't own a copy of the guide) but it seems to me, from the comments that I've read, that it isn't very reliable. Prices listed are too low or inaccurate. You also have sites such as www.popsike.com and this one: www.collectorsweekly.com/records/garage-45sThey log eBay auctions but seldom manage to include all so it's just a rough guide, the fewer the entries, the less reliable I guess.

It really depends on how feisty people are feeling when they go to ebay.

It'll be interesting to see what it finally sells for.

It sold for $293.00. I think that's alot of money, but is it a good price? Do you think that is the going price, or what do you think it should have sold for?

I thought that was a bit high but I guess demand runs high and supply low at the moment. Which of course is good news if you're looking to sell
