well, in high school we used to put safety pins in our jackets and drive around listening to Joy Division and drinking red bull.
One time my science teacher called my mom and told her my grades were slipping so she took away all my music (there were some punk as fuck records in that collection) and my guitar until my grades improved.

Back in 77/78 it was all skinny ties, knotted and worn with a ripped up t-shirt, skinny jeans (as opposed to flared trousers.) Doc Martins airwear boots and army surplus overcoats, all sprayed up and held together with safety pins. By late 1978 that had been replaced by a leather biker jacket, bondage trousers and shirts from Boy and Seditionaries in the Kings Road, I recall spending an entire weeks wages (just over £20.00) on a pair of bondage trousers just so I could look like the Clash. I then came to my senses and by 1979 was back making my own individual "punk" look. As for punky activities, I was lucky in that I lived in London and had a choice of excellent punk gigs to go to every night, I saw hundreds of bands in sweaty clubs and can still smell the combination of body odour and leather...

Unfortunately not, ATV were one of my favourite bands at the time but didn't seem to play very much, not on the London circuit at least. I was a big fan of Mark P's writing in Sniffin' Glue and the inclusion of the Love Lies Limp flexi with the last issue was a fitting swansong.
