Anyone heard Lost Souls vol. 2 yet???
It evidently contains a "re-mixed" version of the Modd's punk classic "Leave My House" ... I hope it doesn't have a string section, piccolo or trombone!!!

It's the disco re-mix by Yoko Ono, runs for 15 minutes.

Too bad she couldn't break them after the White Album. Well, they did continue lamely into the '70s as solo artists... actually, no -- I like some of that stuff too.

Psych of the South's Myspace has a clip of Leave My House feat on Lost Souls Vol. 2. The audio is from a reel to reel tape and you can hear the bass, drums, and a second guitar that are nearly absent from the 45. The tape was mono, so it's not really a remix. It's a new source.

Most intriguing, thanks pfft. Don't like those 1970s cut off dates though -- bar band hell!

I don't know, I don't mind a bit of early '70s stuff. As long as they don't enter into, as you call it, bar band hell.
I forgot to mention that both are 2CD's.

Despite the silly label name, I think it's unfair to call SuperOldies an oldies label. When I hear 'oldies label' I'm thinking budget releases with 15 songs and cheap packaging. And that ain't what you're getting here. Take their Eagle Records comp - great packaging, excellent sound quality and mostly great songs. Of course there's bound to be some fillers on these label anthologies, but he's doing a great job presenting the Canadian 'oldies' to the people.
