I have nothing against singing with kids and being positive in general, but this smells bad and refrain is soooooooooo dumb

"Understand him and he'll understand you, for you are him and he is you"
Heavy. Something for Egg and UFO. "If the geeks are united!"

my vote goes to the germs. they totally sucked it live. well, playing chaos rock which makes no sense actually makes more sense than singing most retarded refrain eve while cuddling poor kid as happy crowd of old squares claps their hands in atmosphere of total gayness.

NO! the germs had some great songs, their records kill but their live performance is awful! how they pulled it off in the studio is as miracle. the only reason they did work as a band is because some of the songs are really good. sham 69 have some killer anthems, if the kids are united isnt a favorite of mine, but its far from the worst. that performance sounds right on musically, and its funny to hear such a heavy simplistic song like that in those surroundings. it will never be in my top 100, but far from the worst in my opinion. here is an example of one of the best punk songs ever written in one of the most awful 70s punk performances, ever. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYhgcH7yrVc

oh, and, darby was, totally gay. he also seems half retarded, so i say the germs win the worst performance in 70s punk, hands down. noone even comes close to their level of greatness on record while stinking it up so bad live, other than maybe the misfits, but they were more of a terrible 80s band. their 70s stuff and live 70s bootlegs dont sound half bad.
most awful punk performances ever award goes to GG allin. he also did some great stuff on record, but i could do without the live show of him shitting onstage and tossing it into the crowd, playing with his tiny pecker and sticking the microphone up his ass and then beating himself in the head until bloody with it.

oh, and, darby was, totally gay. he also seems half retarded I think Darby was cute. But the Iggy routine he and GG and Stiv and countless others was doing hasn't aged well. But be careful just dissing it - it once was important work.
