I wonder if anyone's ever gone up to the customer service counter or sought out a manager to request the station or music be changed? Would they comply?

its even worse if you go into a record shop and theres crap music playing and theyve got the volume up and it makes you feel like other people think youve gone in there because you like whats playing.

I was in Virgin Megastore a while ago and they actually played a couple of good songs in a row, I think Stooges and something else. It was weird, actually. Also on that visit I got a free copy of Bad Santa cos the girl behind the counter forgot to scan it before putting it in the bag.

I remember walking into a shop a few years ago and they were playing some Simpsons novelty record, the Bartman or whatever, so I turned right around and left! I think I gave in and bought some Lauryn Hill CD once when some store was playing it but that's about it, although the first Nirvana I ever heard was in a book shop and I went on to make a tape of some of their stuff from some weird FM radio station that played whole albums just for tapers.

A few weeks ago I was in the art shop at the local huge mall. They were playing the Stone's 'The Last Time' in the art shop, and then when I walked out into the mall they were playing 'Baby Please Don't Go' by Them. Not musak versions either, the real thing.
I began to think that maybe the world isn't coming to an end after all.
OR IS IT?!
