when is Goo Goo Muck from? That might be the best song in the world. Hi, I believe it is from 1962, but it does sound Fifties to me too. My vote goes for 'the Slide' by the Rhythm Rockets. This too could be a very early Sixties song that sounds like a Fifties one. if it's from 1960-63, nine times out of ten it WILL sound like a hangover from the fifties

Grady O'Neal & the Bellatones : The Turkeyneck StretchApparently from 1958!!! Does anyone know of anything that resemble the soybomb database but for 50's rock? rcs.law.emory.edu/rcs/index.htmI envy you discovering this for the first time since it's loaded with samples unlike soybomb....

My first 3 suggestions are all from Specialty Records, first heard these on an LP called "Doo-Wop" that I bought in the early 80s:
1) Bob "Froggy" Landers - Cherokee Dance 2) Jimmy Liggins - Drunk 3) Roy Montrell - That Mellow Saxaphone 4) Bob Vidone - Weird

Not sure if this is '50s or not, but check this gospel mama's wild solo halfway though the song:

Roy Browns output was pretty immense; `Black Diamond` `Butcher Pete``Gal From Kokomo`etc... manic live performer apparently.
